You might be wondering; how can you use Reddit for keyword research?
Let’s say for instance that you have a website that sells headphones, you head on over to the Reddit search and type in headphones.
If there is a sub-reddit community about a topic on headphones, head over to that community. If not just find threads about your topic in the search results. Here is a heads up tip. Keep an eye out for threads where people tend to ask a lot of questions. Next Step:
Scan the thread for potential keywords. Terms that popup again and again, is perfect.
You will find people mention a specific model a few times in a headphone related Q&A thread.

You can use Quora just as you would Reddit. Just think about it.

When you find a big volume keyword, go through the top 20 results on Google manually. One by one. You can run them through Moz and Majestic to get a good idea of their back-links and authority.
Second, you can read the content one by one. You are hoping that the content is really thin or 
outdated.
You want to know how much of a difference your new website will be in terms of quality of information on the page.
You are looking to build the ultimate guide and take over as the #1 resource for the topic.
In other words, you want to be an authority in this niche or topic.
